Egyptian Animal Mummies
The ancient Egyptians mummified animals as well as humans.
They probably made more ibis mummies than any other type of animal mummy. These were large wading birds. Sometimes they were placed in pottery containers or even ibis-shaped wooden coffins.
Then they were stored in an ibis catacomb.
